Construction Restarts on Overpass

Backed-up traffic and frustration are seen everyday at the intersection of Loop 20 and highway 359, especially during rush hour.
"We were hoping by now that it will be over and not be stuck by the light for a long time, especially with a lot of the rigs that are coming around here."
Sinneh Koroma said he's gotten used to the delays and now leaves extra early every morning to get to work on time.
TxDOT officials now say there is good news: construction has now restarted on the overpass.
The project originally started back in 2010 and was suppose to be finished last year, but after the previous construction company went bankrupt, the project sat still for months.
"It's hazardous for anyone. I mean even the equipment or any of the things that are just left there without building."
Now that construction has restarted, drivers will soon have increased mobility to the Cuatro Vientos area, which will relieve traffic on US-83.
"Driving to work this morning, I saw some vehicles right on top of the bridge. I was thinking to myself maybe something is going to happen. So yea it is goes and we get it over and done with soon it will be great. It will make the drive a whole lot less and enjoyable."
Officials said the project will be done by the end of the year.
