At commissioners court, an increase in the budget for the dam at Lake Casa Blanca was approved.
An increase of 43 thousand dollars was approved to beautify the dam. Commissioners say they don't want the dam to be an eye sore to the city and are following the guidelines of the Texas Commission on environmental quality.

"Basically we are gonna install the irrigation, get the grass going and make sure it is beautified."
With the budget increase the the total cost of the dam is now at close to 1-million and 41 thousand dollars.
