County leaders hope new hotel will draw people to area golf courses

Commissioners are moving forward with plans for a hotel at the Casa Blanca golf course.

Commissioner Jerry Garza says the Fairway Suites will draw more people to the area.

He says he doesn't think the new golf course, being built by the City of Laredo, will keep people away from the current course at Casa Blanca.

County leaders will hear more about the plans in an update Tuesday at Commissioners Court.
