A Mexican couple living here in Laredo will have to serve time in federal prison for transporting a huge stash of ammunition bound for Mexico.
38 year old Abraham Garcia Perguero and his common law wife 36 year old Maria Isabel Rodriguez Olivio were sentenced to 22 and 27 months in prison.
The sentence was read by U.S. District Judge Marina Marmolejo who said without 'cogs like this couple people wouldn't get killed. Associating each person involved in a larger scheme as part of the bigger problem.
