The DEA and SCAN were out today collecting expired prescription drugs from the community.
Officials were urging people to clean out their medicine cabinets and drop off their unused and expired prescription drugs. No questions asked.
The initiative addresses a vital public safety and health issue, as many people are not aware prescription medicines in homes are often misused and abused.
The last time they held a pill take back event they gathered more than 500 pounds of prescription drugs.
They hope to beat that this time around.
