Downtown Black Friday Shopping

Hundreds of people waited in long lines to get that one special gift on black Friday.
But many people decided to wait until morning and shop at the downtown stores.
It was a different kind of black Friday for downtown Laredo shoppers.
Instead of going to corporate stores, these shoppers didn't camp out or wait in lines outside of stores.
It's not always big businesses that participate in black Friday; it's small businesses like these who have great deals.
"(Translated): We have to take advantage of black Friday. Very good, we're here buying toys, gloves, shoes, pants a lot of stuff."
"He got a watch. Just jewelry, little things like shoes."
"(Translated): We are here shopping in Laredo, Texas. There are a lot of specials. We invite the people here as well as the people from Mexico to come and take advantage of the offers."
Many of the shoppers came over from Mexico, just for some black Friday deals.
"(Translated): It's cheap so I buy for selling and to give away."
Tons of people came to buy car-full of everything from toys to shoes.
Trucks were seen all day delivering carts and carts full of boxes all around downtown.
Store owners said business was booming for them on black Friday.
"It's busy. A lot of people come: locals, out of town, a lot of people today."
