After El Cenizo was forced to close one of their roads due to a sinkhole, city officials say the problem has now been fixed and the road is now open to the public once again. On Monday, Border Patrol Agents discovered the sinkhole on the corner of Jimenez and Cadena Street, forcing the city to close the road before it caved in. After a lot of back and fourth between the Webb County Utilities Department and the contractor who recently installed the storm drains...Reim Construction decided to fix the hole free of charge. Jimenez Street is now reopen to the public. The official cause of the sinkhole was never officially determined.
