The election is quickly approaching which means intersections across the city will be even more flooded with campaign signs and supporters. But what is it like to be out there day after day. Supporters are forced to sit or stand side by side with other supporters some of the opposing side. But they say it's not bad at all. They're the people behind the candidates. men and women who give up their lives for days to show their support. many braving the hot sun, “Yeah now I look like a raccoon.” “A little sunburned but were doing the best we can.” All to get your vote. “We try to be here at 730 in the morning to be campaigning for our candidates.” And these happy supporters are ready for anything they've got everything from bottles of water to buy spray and they’re ready to share. You'd think being here would mean facing a tense situation day in and day out. The opponents supporters trying to overpower your voice. But these supporters say they've actually become friends. “They've been treating us so nice its starting to become one big happy family.” “all these people they’re very respectable people.” Sharing snacks and even some shade. They still have their favorites. But say prefer to play nice. “People from the other campaign keep the whole day very interesting but its been very clean politics on our half.” “Laredo lets get those people out to vote.” There is still time to cast your ballot early. Early voting ends tomorrow. Election day is Tuesday.
