Sebastien De La Cruz, the eleven-year-old boy who was the center of controversy earlier this week, after singing the national anthem in a mariachi uniform at the NBA Finals, was back last night. The boy was invited back to sing the national anthem for a second time after his clothing caused an outpouring of racist comments online. De La Cruz says he knew about the comments but just ignored them because his parents taught him to never judge people by how they look. Laredoans we spoke to overwhelmingly agree that the eleven year old's performance was spectacular. Sebastien was born and raised in San Antonio and his father served in the US Navy.
