Fire Rips Through Three Homes

A fire ripped through a west side neighborhood damaging three homes. Neighbors in the area heard explosions they say came from two nearby vehicles.
"It was a very bad fire. Everything including wires and trees were on flames."
This woman witnessed the fire that happened a little before two in the afternoon in the west side neighborhood near Tacuba and Convent.
This is video a witness sent in to our newsroom of the aftermath of the fire. Smoke filled the air as people tried to figure out what was going on.
"I heard an explosion so I went inside and called 911."
She says she went inside her home and called 911 but had a hard time getting through.
"When I came out of the house, it was already in flames with wires and everything."
By the time she reached emergency dispatchers, she saw the home engulfed in flames. A total of three homes were involved in the fire. One home had a lot of damage while two were considered total losses. Lopez was worried about everyone getting out safely.
"A lady came out with a baby but I don't know if there were more people inside."
