After reviewing a petition submitted to Webb County officials Rick Flores will be allowed to be placed on the November ballot.
The petition was submitted to Webb County Judge Danny Valdez and was presented to the elections office for review.
Out of 861 signatures obtained by Flores and supporters 291 were found to be invalid however the 570 remaining signatures allows him to run for Webb County sheriff on the November ballot.
Meanwhile an attorney for Sheriff Martin Cuellar submitted a letter objecting to the application raising certain issues and allegations of irregularities and fraud to be considered by the county judge.
