Government Assisting Nuevo Laredo Flood Vicitms: 4 Drown

Officials in Nuevo Laredo are now reporting a death toll of four people after this weekends storms caused major flooding in the Sister City. Saturday night, we told you about a family of three that drowned after their car was dragged by the current in the West part of the city. That family consisting of 40 - year old Juan Felix Silva, his 30 - year old wife, and their baby just under one years old. On Sunday, they reported another drowning, but have not released details into that death. What we do know is that the government of Tamualipas has now stepped in to help Nuevo Laredo, since the floods severely damaged about 100 homes. We're told they’ve sent 2,600 care packages their way. Emergency responders saying this weekend they managed to locate 52 drivers stranded in the flooded streets. The areas most affected Colonias Francisco Villa, Lomas Del Rio, and Belle Fovviste.
