Laredo I.S.D. will soon have a new facility specifically for communications and fine arts.
There was a huge ceremony at Nixon High School announcing the new site for the Vidal M. Trevino Magnet School.
The school of communications and fine arts is currently in downtown Laredo, but will move to the location at Nixon High.
Along with a spirited ceremony, the groundbreaking was also held .
It's the first chance many had to see the design of the school and how it will look once it's finally finished and ready to go.

The magnet school will cost an estimated 24-million dollars to build. It should be ready to receive student in the fall of 2015.
