The international spotlight is back on our Sister City after the Chief of Police disappears over the weekend.
Mexican authorities are trying to figure out what happened to Chief Roberto Balmori Garza.
The Nuevo Laredo Director of Public Safety is missing and presumed kidnapped after two of his brothers were found dead in the trunk of a car in the neighboring state of Nuevo Leon.
Both had been tortured then shot to death.
Police can't say for sure if Balmori's disappearance is related to the death of his brothers but say it's a possibility.
The Nuevo Laredo police chief was killed just two years ago along with two bodyguards.
