Health Fair Offers Free Medical & Dental Services

Free health fair was offered today for people who lack proper health care.
The Texas Health and Human Services Office of Border Affairs in conjunction with the San Antonio Christian Medical and Dental Association visited Laredo Saturday. It's one of two times they visit our city throughout the year to provide free dental and medical services for people who may otherwise not receive it.
Dr. Scott Phillips, Area Director of the San Antonio Christian Medical and Dental Association, says “We ask to see the people that are most in need, that don't otherwise have access to medical and dental care. Then, we provide those services. With our dental clinics we can do everything from cleanings, fillings, extractions, everything. With our medical clinic we have medical services available with physicians and medical students that see the patients."
The health fair began at 9AM and lasted through 4 PM at the Student Activity Center Field House.
