Traffic is backed up for miles on I-35 after a major accident this afternoon.
Several miles of I-35 were blocked off after an 18 wheeler flatbed carrying a backhoe hit the railroad overpass near mile marker 18.
The backhoe fell off the flatbed onto I-35. Motorists were being forced to exit the highway and use the access road for several miles.
Drivers were being asked to use caution in the area. All lanes were re opened by 3:30 in the afternoon.
