As the nation prepares for the upcoming presidential election, city leaders are doing what they can to encourage more Laredoans to get out and vote.
It's all part of the “I Am Laredo, I Vote” campaign which aims at boosting voter participation.
A committee announced a voter registration drive at the Macy's center court to spread the word about the importance of voting. The voter registration drive will be held Tuesday, September 25th, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the center court of Mall Del Norte.
The “I Am Laredo, I Vote” campaign is geared towards local, county, state and federal elections.
