With less than three weeks in the school year, Laredo Independent School District recognizes their teachers who will soon retire. The recognition ceremony was held at the Laredo Civic Center Monday evening. A total of 13 LISD teachers will be retiring at the end of the school year. One teacher spent 43 years with the district before she decided to retire. "I'm having mixed feelings. I love working with the kids and it's kind of like I'm deporting from my second family. So I'm very, very happy in a way and I'm sad in a way."
