An individual who has been a huge part of both the Laredo educational and banking community over the years is retiring.
After nine years of service to the Laredo Federal Credit Union Javier Moctezuma is moving on to the next stage in his life. Under his leadership the credit union has made huge progress growing from $80-million in assets to $120-million.
Two new branches were also added while he was president, as well as ATMs across the city.
Moctezuma was an educator for many years and jumped at the chance to honor teachers; that's why he's been so instrumental with One Class At A Time, seen here on KGNS.
Moctezuma says he now plans to travel and spend more time with family.
We here at KGNS want to wish him the best.
He will be greatly missed by members and employees at Laredo Federal Credit Union.
