Williamson County authorities said a routine traffic stop led to one of the county's largest methamphetamine busts, with the suspect coming out of Laredo.
The suspect has been identified as Elizabeth Mendoza of Laredo.
We're told a sheriff's deputy pulled over her 2008 Honda Ridgeline after seeing it was tailgating another vehicle along I-35 near Jarrell, Texas.
The deputy noticed she kept giving inconsistent answers during questioning.
During a search of her vehicle, a K-9 unit discovered 16 bundles of Meth, weighing in at 42 pounds.
The case has been turned over to the Austin office of the Drug Enforcement Administration for prosecution.
Mendoza was turned over to the United States marshals service.
Federal charges of drug trafficking are pending.
