Completing 26.2 miles is the goal of every Boston marathon runner Monday, not expecting deadly explosions as they cross the finish line. Laredoan Maribel Garcia was in the race today, her brother tells us her story. (Oscar Lopez):"The miracle of God is that when the bombing occurred, that was just moments after she crossed the finished line. She heard the loud noises of the explosion, so she turned back and saw just chaos and people running. She also saw people lying on the streets." Maribel's brother, Oscar Lopez recalls how he heard about the explosions. He says he was at work when his co-workers told him the bad news. "I tried to call her but I couldn't get through her cell phone. And I called my nieces, all my family just to give them the reassurance everything was going to be fine." Luckily, they say, Maribel was just fine. "She has never experienced something like this. So she was shaken up, but right now, she's calm and doing fine." This is Maribel's ninth Boston marathon appearance and her brother said this incident would not affect her future participation in the Boston marathon. Maribels family is not sure when she will be able to return home. They said she originally was supposed to fly back tomorrow, but say her return will now be delayed. The family also thanks the community for all their concern.
