All to help the community, Girl Scout Troop #9194 has spent the last six months knitting caps for pediatric cancer patients. The troop made over 80 and gave them to children in providence health center. The patients got to choose their own hat made from a variety of colors. The girl scouts say they are proud they can help their community while earn the bronze award as well. One girl scout says "it's the highest award a junior girl scout can earn and it's a lot of work. you have to complete 20 hours and its a lot of fun while working and helping out the community." The girl scouts were only required to do 20 hours of community service to earn the bronze award, but say they enjoyed helped out so much, they spent about 30 hours a piece knitting the hats.
