It was the honor of a lifetime for two Laredo elementary school students about 20 students from Nye Elementary went on a trip to Washington D.C. recently.
It was there that two students, Nicholas Diaz and Karla Caballero, were selected to participate in the ceremony of laying the wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
The students said the trip helped them appreciate the history and dedication and the price many soldiers have paid to give us our freedoms.
