Police have made an arrest in a case involving 700 pounds of marijuana and a suspect who fled the scene.
Armando Mendoza, 29, was picked up in the 100 block of W San Pedro by the U.S. Marshals violent fugitive task force Monday.
Police said he was the man wanted in connection with a chase through west Laredo back in mid-June.
The chase turned up 700 pounds of marijuana, left in an SUV police said was being driven by Mendoza.
Mendoza now faces charges of possession of marijuana, evading arrest with a motor vehicle, and evading on foot.
He was taken to jail on a $100,000 bond.
