It was a bizarre twist for a meter reader issuing citations Tuesday.
He discovers a man dead in a vehicle.
Paramedic gloves still remain on the scene where a man identified as Horacio Charles Jr. was found dead in his car.
The discovery was made around 11:45 Tuesday morning in the 700 block of Davis.
His family returned back to the scene this afternoon to try understand that their family member is now gone.
"(Translated): I went to go see him yesterday, and we'd been fighting. And I asked him what he was doing, and he said things with his wife. And, I went to go see him.... My kids hadn't seen him cause he had just gotten out of jail. And then... that's it."
According to police, Charles was unresponsive and already dead at the scene.
No foul play is suspected but police hope to get more answers after an autopsy is conducted.
A death investigation is underway.
