Close to two and a half million dollars worth of cocaine is seized at a Laredo checkpoint.
It happened over the weekend when the driver of a white Chevy Versa was sent to secondary inspection at the checkpoint along I-35.
Agents removed the backseat of the car and discovered 26 bundles hidden inside a trap door, holding a little over 50 pounds of cocaine.
The drugs are estimated to be worth about two and a half million dollars.
The cocaine, two suspects, and the vehicle were all turned over to DEA agents for further investigation.
