Although it's fun, Halloween can also pose some dangers for children. Fire Captain Eloy Vega shares safety tips to stay safe and have fun.
Halloween Safety Tips:
-Never talk to strangers
-Remind your child never to go inside strangers' homes or cars; instead, stay outside of the house while you wait for the candy
-Inspect your child's candy before consumption
-Do not send your child trick or treating alone; send them out in groups or go with them
-Avoid houses that are not well lit
-Plan your child's route
-Visit www.txdps.state.tx.us to avoid houses of registered sex offenders
-Motorists are asked to drive careful and look out for children
