In Nuevo Laredo, where officials are reporting that the cities electoral administrator is kidnapped from a public meeting early this morning.
The attorney generals office confirmed the kidnapping of Ramiro Medina Garay in a press conference.
Telling members of the press that at about eleven this morning, during a meeting at an electoral office, five gunmen burst in and took Garay by force.
They are reporting that Garay was seen being shoved into a vehicle.
His where abouts are unknown.
The kidnapping was soon reported and officials are now investigating the case.
It was just last month that Nuevo Laredos director of public defense was reported missing as well.
The bloody drug war between cartels and the government has claimed thousands of lives on the border.
