President Obama holding more meetings to try and prevent a fiscal cliff. Earlier this week reaching out to a handful of community leaders asking for their help and that would include our Mayor from right here in Laredo. Mayor Raul Salinas among the mayors meeting the president at the White House on Wednesday. That's where they discussed the need to pass a middle class tax cut extension. That's because Obama's Administration says that if Congress does not take action then the middle class could face a $2,200 tax increase next year affecting social security recipients, Medicare and Medicaid. The Mayor says that county judges and other public officials throughout the country were also contacted by the administration in hopes they too will spread the same message.
