Just as we get over the frenzy of Black Friday, promoting corporate America, the country today promoted small business.
It was small business Saturday hoping to give the local economy, like Laredo, a boost.
Local officials and the chamber of commerce promoted small business throughout town today for the third year in a row.
The initiative helps create more demand for their products and services incorporating them into holiday shopping.
Today many of them offering discounts to customers.
Congressman, Henry Cuellar says, “they invest in the local economy they go and they spend and the money stays here in Laredo. and they employee locally..three fourths of all jobs are created by small business like those in Laredo.”
