Operation Lone Star Makes Budget Cuts
Operation Lone Star is headed back to our area but will not be coming to Laredo this year. Operation Lone Star provides free medical services to children in South Texas.
Next week the group will provide services in Rio Bravo and Zapata. Officials say they will not be returning to Laredo because of budget cuts and will no longer be providing dental or pharmacy services this year either.
Last year hundreds of people turned out for this event. Any Laredoans still interested in the free services are welcome to travel to Rio Bravo or Zapata.
The group will be at Lincoln Juarez Elementary in Rio Bravo and Zapata Middle School all next week.
