Over a ton of drugs are seized at the Laredo Port of Entry.
Customs and Border Protection intercepted 2,663 lbs. of marijuana at the Columbia Solidarity Bridge last Friday, Jan. 11. CBP Officers were processing commercial entries when they came across a shipment of oak charcoal. Upon further extensive examination, 876 packages containing the drug were discovered. The seized drugs have an estimated street value of $2.1 million. The case has been referred to Homeland Security for further investigation.
