From now until Christmas if your short on time trying to get from one place to another ..you may want to avoid the highway.
Traffic on Interstate-35 came to a complete standstill earlier today..for several hours as paisanos make their way back into Mexico.
Lines miles long of people waiting to be processed into Mexico and thats been the scene throughout the day.
At some point the lines stretching from the mall all the way to our international bridges.
Families of paisanos could be seen walking the highway leaving their cars trying to take a break from the long waits.
Extra patrol units also on and off the highway this afternoon trying to relieve the congestion out there.
This is a photo sent by a viewer to KGNS, viewer headed north on I-35 bringing us another glimpse of all that was going on.
The congestion is expected every morning for the coming days until Christmas.
