Photos of Mexico Prison Escapees Released

By KGNS News

Local law enforcement has released the photos of the inmates who escaped from a prison in Mexico.
They're hoping people here will be on the lookout.
These are the more than 120 inmates who escaped from a Piedras Negras, Mexico prison Monday right across the border from Eagle Pass.
The list of photos put together by Webb County Sheriff's officials, who say they recognize the threat.
“Whether its two hours away or four hours away or across the river here. we stay on our toes with those topics.”
One of the escapees was arrested close to Monterrey, 100 miles away from the prison.
Deputies here say it's possible others will end up in the Laredo area and want residents here to keep an eye out for anyone acting suspicious.
“I’m sure they’re going to travel so we don’t know if they’re going to cross over or travel within their own country.”
Mexican authorities believe the zetas drug cartel is behind the escape.
This picture surfacing on Mexican newspapers shows the tunnel they used to get out.
Safety officials in Coahuila told the associated press that the zetas have been hit by arrests, fatal shootings and gun seizures and are "running out of people"
Regardless of the reason, law enforcement in Laredo is making sure those escapees aren't coming here.
“At this time we don’t feel that threat but we do want to make sure to keep an eye out for these individuals.”
