Police arrested a man for allegedly killing a 49-year-old victim at a north Laredo apartment complex back in January.
Police said Juan Francisco Leal, 38, is responsible for the shooting death of Jorge Villanueva Barbosa.
According to authorities, the victim was shot and killed at the hillside apartment complex after a drug theft went wrong.
Witnesses reported seeing three men wearing ski masks running from the scene.
Police were able to tie Leal to the shooting through information from anonymous sources and information gathered at other crime scenes.
He now faces one count of murder and one count of burglary with intent to commit a felony.
Leal was taken to jail on a $250,000 bond.
More arrests are pending.
