Police are on the lookout for a suspect who fled the scene after a chase with officers.
We're told it started at around seven this even at the corner of San Bernardo and Garden Street. That's where patrol officers spotted a ford expedition, which looked to have been heavily loaded and weighed-down.
When they tried to pull the vehicle over, the driver sped off prompting a chase with police.
The suspect crashed into a traffic control box and into a fence at the intersection of Springfield and Saunders.
The vehicle was totaled but he managed to slip out through the passenger side and fled on foot into the neighborhood. Officers seized his cargo though; we're told the marijuana weighed in just short of 700 pounds.
Police are still searching for the suspect.
