Reports of Mexican Military Presence in Zapata

Our newsroom has been flooded with phone calls about Mexican military presence in Zapata. This comes after reports of a gunfight between Mexican soldiers and cartels on the Mexican border around that area. KGNS reporter, Orlando Garza was in Zapata and spoke to the sheriff who says he can’t confirm anything. However, numerous Zapata residents had reported helicopters and other law officials in the area.
