Romero and Gonzalez Endanger a Child

Two parents were sent to jail after their small child was seen wandering along the highway.
Officers arrested 25-year-old Antonio Gonzalez and 23-year-old Mayra Romero on charges of abandoning and endangering a child.
Police say they received a call of a lost four-year-old seen in the early hours of the morning walking around the south bound lane of Zapata Highway.
They tell us it was border patrol who initially spotted the child.
Officers later tracked down the parents in the seven-hundred block of Jemez Loop.
They investigated the case leading to Gonzalez and Romero's arrest.
They're now booked at Webb County Jail on no bond set by justice of the peace Ricardo Rangel.
