Police are searching for two armed men accused of robbing a convenience store at knife-point. Police say, the two masked men entered the convenience store in the 2400 block of Blaine around 4 AM Monday morning. Officers say the suspects physically assaulted the clerk, even holding a knife to his throat as they demanded cash.
Laredo Police Department Investigator Joe Baeza says the thieves were "punching the clerk twice in the face and held a knife to his throat while they emptied the register. [They] made off with cartons of cigarettes and also made off with other items."
Seventy dollars in cash was taken. Police are in the process of obtaining surveillance video to try to solve case. They're asking anyone with the information to please call 795-2800 or 727-TIPS. Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest.
