An investigation spanning several weeks ends with close to a half-ton of drugs seized and at least one person in police custody.
According to investigators the bust happened at a residence in the 4900 block of San Felipe in South Laredo after receiving an anonymous tip about some suspicious activity.
After several weeks of surveillance, officers finally approached the driver of a vehicle leaving the area to inspect the property.
After receiving permission, police found close to 800 pounds of marijuana and about two pounds of cocaine.
We're told one woman was detained, pending charges.
