An investigation into Laredo’s fourth murder of the year leads law enforcement across the country to finally catch the suspect.
U.S. Marshals tell us 30 year old Luis Jimenez was arrested at about 7:30pm at a relative's home in San Diego, California.
Jimenez was wanted for the murder of 23-year-old Roberto Carlos Benavides back on February 9th of this year.
The victim was found by a family member in a home in the 3500 block of Cuatro Vientos in a pool of blood.
Police say Benavides had been stabbed, but released no other details in the case.
Jimenez is currently awaiting extradition to be brought back to Texas.
