Twenty-thousand dollars worth of corn flakes equaling about 180,000 bowls of cereal.
The truckload from H-E-B was all donated to the South Texas Food Bank to go to people in need. Food bank officials say the cereal will be a nice treat for kids. They say it's important for everyone to have a healthy breakfast each morning and the truckload of cereal will help do just that.
The South Texas Food Bank feeds about 27,000 families per month.
H-E-B will also be delivering corn flakes to other food banks in Texas.
The entire statewide donation is valued at $350,000.
