UISD Leaders Work to Convince Voters On Bond Need
As leaders with the United Independent School District get ready to unveil their 2013 final bond to the community, members of the Citizens Bond Committee were recognized on Wednesday night.
They will be at the forefront as the district tries to convince voters on why a bond is needed.
It's been almost a decade since the last bond was approved and many at UISD say the time is now as the district grows, as does the need for new schools.
The district will hold a community and media awareness session at the UISD Student Activity Complex on Thursday as part of the Build United Campaign.
The 2013 final bond plan will be presented to members of the media before it makes the ballot in November.
