Back here at home, Webb County Commissioner Jaime Canales says there are still a few spots open for kids wanting to be part of a county summer camp.
It's the last of four camps being held by the commissioner and features educational courses for kids ages seven to ten. There is limited space but it's all absolutely free.

“This is free of charge we are happy we can give something back to the community and to keep kids entertained and that their reading and writing are in good standing.”
The camp begins Monday and runs from July 9th through July 13th from 9am to 1pm at Finely Headstart. The deadline to register is Friday but there are only a few spots left.
If you would like to register your kids call 523-4652 or go to the county's website and on to the page for precinct four.
