Most Laredoans drive really bad, most people in this town do not have any driving manners, they are always in a rush not caring for others.

Hmmm... No citations issued? Failure to yield is a moving violation, I don't see where it says which way the person was turning either. It's a big problem here, that idiots like to pull out in front of people instead of waiting 5 seconds for them to pass. Totally stupid.

City hall meeting are a joke. The first freakin hour and a half is just a bunch of sucking up to one another. It's not until the last 15 minutes when the "actual" metting starts.

One easy and quick fix would be to replace those DO-NOTHING cameras with ones that are triggered by speeding and running red lights, we could pay off the nations debt in about 3 months.

OH so you are saying it is our job to enforce traffic laws, I am sure each of us would be given a chance to talk at city hall meetings. We are looking forward to your method of improving things.

I can't tell you how many times I have dodged the bullet because of the way the idiots drive on the loop. I don't care whose fault it was, there was no reason for it other than bad driving which is constant,I stil say for the amount of streets entering the loop and as many lights the limit should be 50 max.And by the way anon turning right on red requires a STOP also but it don't hardly happen.

I agree anon but still people here do not follow traffic laws, but the media and such say bogus things like population or more raffic lights. I wasnt blaming the officer. I was saying that another young person was killed when a driver turned out in front of another car illegally. That was asll i said. My husband and i are afraid of the loop and del mar. We use caution. Have amost been taken out there numerous times.

Yes anon, I agree, she should be arrested and charged with man slaughter. It can not be called "accident" when she intentionally ran the red light.

get the story straight before posting people. The woman turned LEFT on RED. RED means STOP -DO NOT TURN. IT IS NOT SAFE TO TURN. But no, she did it anyway. Officer Fernandez had no chance to stop. This accident could so easily have been avoided if the woman had followed the law and waited. Too bad SHE was not the one that was killed. She should be charged with vehicular manslaughter.

Of course lets sweep this under the rug again. Call it what it is. Right on red, cell phone, not obeying traffic rules, and idiots who feel they can beat peope when tney turn in front of them. U r right shame, putting in another overpass or traffic signals will not stop the problem. Because 3/4 of the eople dont heed traffic lights anyway. Please laredo, these are not just pretty lights that change colors. City and law enforcement need to oen their eyes for once and start enforcing traffic laws. I cold drive around all day with a video camera and have a million violations on video. STOP SWEEPING THINGS UNDER THE RUG LAREDO. too many people are dying tragically over ignorance.

It is no mystery why there are accidents like this on the loop, the speed limit is too high and there should not be turning right on red, people don't even yield in a 30 zone. Now you will have the money spenders again calling for over-passes when it all boils down to bad driving and speeding and talking on cell phones.
