19 Year Old Suffers Severe Head Trauma

A car accident on Interstate-35 sends a 19 year old woman suffering from severe head trauma to the hospital after she was ejected from her vehicle.

The accident took place on I-35 at approximately 4:30 Sunday morning. Witnesses say, a dark colored 'bobtail' truck rear-ended her vehicle causing it to hit a palm tree, stray out of the highway, and fall into a ditch on the 5600 block of San Dario.

The driver of the truck fled the scene. There is a lookout for the vehicle, but its has not been located as of yet. If you have any information on the hit and run, you are urged to call Police at 795-2800.
