A concerned parent whose student goes to United High School called in to report an alleged embezzlement. Someone stole $20,000 from student council. We spoke to officials at UISD who didn't deny the allegation. "We're not at liberty to disclose any details relative to this information." Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources for UISD, David Garza, was not able to clarify if this happened in January like we were told. However he did say it happened this semester. "What information are you able to tell us about the supposed $20,000 embezzlement out of United?" "The only thing I can say at this time is that we have received a report or a concern. The district is currently conducting an investigation into this matter." Garza says he's limited to what he can tell us since the incident is currently still under investigation with the UISD police department. "These kind of reports we do not take lightly. As an administration we will vigorously look into the matter and turn over every stone in order to get to the matter at hand."
