Catholic War Veterans Honor One of Their Own

He was a Laredo native who served in Vietnam and, today, family and friends gathered to remember their loved one. Family members of Dennis Garcia gathered for a memorial arranged by the Catholic War Veterans early this morning. Garcia served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Hornet back in 1964 through 1968. He received several awards including what officials say is an unheard-of four bronze stars while serving in the war. He was even recently presented with the Presidential Award. Garcia died last year.
