Middle Schools Set for Orientation Week

Sixth grade freshman students of the Laredo Independent School District will be getting a chance to check out their new campuses before classes start. Orientation for Freshman students heading to Nixon will take place this Tuesday, August 18th from 8:30 until 12:30 in the afternoon. A second session will run from 1:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. that same day. Sixth graders headed to Cigarroa Middle School have their orientation also on Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Orientation for Memorial Middle School takes place on Thursday, August 20th from 5:30 p.m. until 7 in the evening; and Lamar Middle School from 6 to 7 p.m. Finally, freshman students headed to Cigarroa High have their orientation on Friday, August 21st at 10 a.m.

Won't have to go long,half will be pregnant before the end of the year in Laredo!

Hopefully this will be better organized than the bilingual conference. As usual LISD informed teachers that they were to attend the bilingual conference at TAMIU 2 hours before it began...not only that, if we didn't go we are to pay for the registration fees....

LISD is up to thier hold antics. I was forced to go the bilingual conference this past weekend. The principal told us that if we do not go, we will have to pay for registration. This directive came from main office. I had no choice, i did not even know that i had been registered to go.
