Congressman Henry Cuellar continues along the trail through the northern and southern portions of his district holding discussions on health care reform. A town hall meeting is scheduled for Thursday at TAMIU. The event is being hosted by Mercy Ministries of Laredo, whose long time dedication to health care has landed the Congressman in the Gateway City to address concerns of Laredo residents. Sister Maria Luisa Vera says she hopes the event will be conducted with courtesy on both ends. "He's very gracious to give us this one hour to ask our questions. My hope is that people will come and will have clear and succinct questions and that we can get as many people as possible to ask their question and let him respond so we can utilize the time well." Based on the way previous town hall meetings have gone, this might be wishful thinking. Around the country, shouting matches continue to break out at congressional town hall meetings. In McAllen, Cuellar faced an outspoken crowd wanting answers. The meeting will be held at 12:30pm Wednesday afternoon at TAMIU.
